  • Select an auspicious date and time for the ceremony, which is usually determined by a priest or astrologer.
  • Clean the area where the construction is to take place. The area should be swept clean and sprinkled with Ganga Jal or holy water.
  • Prepare the altar by placing a wooden board or a raised platform at the center of the area. The altar should face the East direction.
  • Place a Kalash (a pot filled with water and topped with coconut) on the altar.
  • Make a Swastik with Roli (red-colored powder) on the Kalash.
  • Light a Diya (oil lamp) and place it on the altar.
  • Offer flowers, fruits, and sweets to the deity.
  • Offer the first brick to the deity and place it on the ground.
  • Perform a Havan (a sacred fire ritual) by lighting a fire in a small pit on the ground. Offer ghee, herbs, and other offerings to the fire while reciting mantras.
  • Finally, offer prayers and seek the blessings of the deity for the successful completion of the construction project.

After the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony, the construction work can begin. It is believed that the blessings of the deity will ensure the successful completion of the project without any obstacles or hindrances.
